Invitation Letter
Dear Friend,
We would like to invite
your child to the Harvest 10/40 Inc. English as a Second Language Camp which
will be held in Penang, Malaysia from January 05, 2006
to January 25, 2006.
Harvest 10/40 was the
administrator and program coordinator team of the 2005 Dalat International
School Summer Program. All of our teachers are from western countries such
as America, Canada, and Australia…all of whom are trained and certified in (TESOL)
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
Our desire is to
challenge your child with a curriculum that is especially created for
learning English as a second language. This will include other activities
such as drama, music, crafts, and games all focusing on encouraging your
child to speak English.
It is our Mission to
offer your child a truly stimulating and enjoyable educational program. It
is our desire to elevate the level of your child’s English and at the same
time share Godly principles and character.

Mission
Statement:
To
offer a stimulating and enjoyable educational experience for those who
desire to learn English as a second language.
TESOL =
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
Mission Goals:
1.
To elevate the level of the child’s communication skills using the English
language.
2.
To share Godly principles and character through a challenging curriculum.
3.
To provide a well-balanced program, using a specialized curriculum created
for learning English as a second language. We will use other activities
such as drama, music, crafts, and games that will focus on encouraging the
child to speak English.

Please read before signing:

If, in the opinion of a
properly licensed and practicing physician, our child needs medical or
surgical services which require our consent before being supplied, and we
cannot be reached, we hereby authorize, appoint, and empower the director
or his/her designee to furnish on our behalf such written or oral
authorization as may be so required. Further, we release the director or
his/her designee of Harvest 10/40 Inc, from any liability which might
arise from giving of such authorization, it being our desire that our
child be furnished with such surgical services as soon as reasonably
possible after the need arises.

We give permission for our child to take part in all program activities,
including sports and sponsored trips away from the camp’s premises. We
undertake to immediately inform Harvest 10/40 Inc. of any change in our
child’s medical condition. We absolve Harvest 10/40 Inc. from all
liabilities arising out of any injury at camp, during any camp activity,
save for gross negligence on the part of Harvest 10/40 Inc., or because of
any previous medical condition.
Please list any medications your child is on and make sure they have an
ample supply with them for their time with us.

$150.00 US Dollars – Due by November 15, 2005
(Application fee is
non-refundable)

December 15, 2005

· Classroom
size is 8 to 10 children per adult.
· One
English speaking adult per four children staying in room.

English Tutoring Sessions with three children to one adult.

Medical Coverage: Medical & Additional Expenses up to US $1,500,000.00

are located at a well secured Four-star island resort hotel, offering three
buffet meals, team building, obstacle courses, high & low rope courses,
abseiling, rock climbing, archery, swimming, and much more, ensuring your

Rules and regulations for
Harvest 10/40 Inc. Program:
Parents Copy
1. No Cell phones will be
permitted
2.
Children can call home once a week in the evenings only. (Card cost is RM
35.00. This is about 3 hours of talk time). This is not included in your
camp fees.
3. Students will write in their journals once a day (journals will be
provided)
4.
Children may bring snack foods with them. Meals will be provided of course.
We will also have a canteen for the purchase of snacks, etc., so be sure
your child has a little spending money.
5. Laundry service will be provided... We need you to put your child’s name
in their clothing… this will prevent mix-ups.
6. A RM
1 fine will be embossed for talking non-English in an English Zone.
Please send extra money for this rule… This can be their spending money
also. It is up to you.
7. If
your child’s behavior is unruly we hold the right to send your
child home early and no refund will be given.
8. No
Bikinis (one piece suit only for girls and swimming trunks for boys.)
9. No lap tops.
10.
Your child is not allowed to leave Jerejak Resort & Spa.
Following
is what we consider offenses worthy of being sent home:

Anyone in possession of the following will be sent home
immediately:
3 Strikes:
Your child will receive one
strike for committing any one of the following offenses. Upon receiving the
third strike, your child will be sent home
*** Please note parents
will be called when child has received their second strike to make you aware
of their offenses.
***Please note parents
are to bare all expenses in the case child is sent home.
Each of these is
considered one strike. When the total of 3 strikes is given, they will be
sent home.

Refusing to obey rules: (an example would be not going to bed at the
scheduled time).

Children are not allowed in rooms during class hours.
-
Boys and girls will be in different rooms and will not be allowed to visit
in each others rooms.

Disrespect of teachers, helpers, student helpers, or other staff including
maid, laundry, maintenance, guards. Etc…
-
Bullying/ fighting.
- Use
of bad language.
